ORLEANS — The Orleans Public Library will begin its fall Storytime program on Tuesday, Sept. 8, offering young children and their caregivers an opportunity to build early literacy skills through books, songs and interactive activities.
Designed for children ages 0 through 6, including those entering kindergarten, Storytime aims to nurture a love of reading from an early age while encouraging language development and social interaction.
The 30-minute sessions will be held each Tuesday and Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Orleans Public Library, 174 N. Maple St., Orleans. The first programs are scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 8, and Wednesday, Sept. 9.
The library follows the Orleans Community Schools calendar. Storytime will not be held on days when school is closed for fall, holiday or spring breaks, or during weather-related school closures.
