INDIANAPOLIS – With talent needs remaining a top priority for Indiana employers, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce will host two September summits focused on issues that directly affect workforce participation, productivity and long-term economic strength: employee well-being and access to reliable childcare.
The 2026 Indiana Wellness Summit, presented by the Indiana Chamber and Wellness Council of Indiana, is set for September 2 at the Wyndham Indianapolis Airport Hotel. One week later, the 2026 Childcare Summit: Building Indiana’s Workforce Through Childcare will take place September 9 at the Indiana Chamber Conference Center in downtown Indianapolis, with a virtual attendance option also available.
“Employers are navigating persistent talent challenges, and these two events address areas that directly affect whether Hoosiers can get to work, stay healthy and thrive on the job,” says Vanessa Green Sinders, Indiana Chamber president and CEO. “Workplace wellness and childcare access are core workforce strategies that impact productivity, retention and quality of life for employees and their families.”
The Indiana Wellness Summit brings together health and wellness professionals, business leaders and workplace culture champions to explore best practices, data-driven strategies and resources for strengthening employee well-being. Sessions will highlight practical approaches employers can use to support healthier workplaces, measure the impact of wellness efforts and connect with statewide resources. Registration for the full-day event on September 2 is $349 for Indiana Chamber or Wellness Council of Indiana members and $449 for non-members. Parkview Health is the lead summit sponsor. The Childcare Summit will feature the latest data, policy updates, employer-supported childcare models, tax credit opportunities and regional examples already making an impact in this area. Attendees will hear from state leaders, industry experts and childcare advocates on what is working, where gaps remain and how employers can help strengthen families and workplaces. The Childcare Summit will run from 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on September 9 at the Indiana Chamber Conference Center in downtown Indianapolis and is supported by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and sponsor Indianapolis Airport Authority.
