ORLEANS — The Orleans Chamber of Commerce will host a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. on August 20 for Once Upon a Bean Coffee Shop, located at 100 W. Jefferson St. on the north side of the historic town square.
The ceremony will celebrate the coffee shop’s new ownership and provide an opportunity for community members to welcome Cindy Bell as the new owner of the local business.
Once Upon a Bean opened in July 2024 under the ownership of Curtis and Krista Garrison. During their time as owners, the shop became a place for customers to enjoy a variety of beverages and treats, including coffee, tea, snacks, Lotus Energy drinks, and pastries from Magic Morning Bakery.
At the beginning of August 2026, the shop was sold to Bell, who has taken over ownership of the business. Once Upon a Bean will continue serving the Orleans community from its location on the historic town square.
The ribbon cutting will give members of the Orleans Chamber and the community a chance to recognize the transition and show their support for the locally owned coffee shop as it begins its next chapter.
