INDIANAPOLIS—The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra invites audiences to an unforgettable evening of music, elegance, and art, inspired by the senses, with the all-new Gala: Opus 2025 on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the historic Hilbert Circle Theatre. Endowed by Christel DeHaan, this reimagined gala event is the ISO’s largest annual fundraiser and promises to be the most anticipated arts event of the fall season. The entire Gala experience—from the elegant pre-concert reception to the lively post-performance celebration—will unfold under one roof at the historic Hilbert Circle Theatre. Following the concert, guests will be invited to explore a transformed theatre filled with vibrant, interactive experiences. The evening will come alive with surprise pop-up performances throughout the hall, picture-perfect moments in beautifully designed spaces, and themed lounge areas infused with a touch of bohemian flair. Curated tastings, specialty mocktails, and crafted cocktails will complete this immersive, celebratory atmosphere.
Join ISO Music Director Jun Märkl and violin virtuoso Augustin Hadelich for a journey through Bohemia, featuring Brahms’ Violin Concerto —a piece renowned for its heartfelt lyricism and dazzling technical fireworks, ideally suited to Hadelich’s expressive, award-winning artistry. The program also includes Brahms’ beloved Hungarian Dance No. 5, Smetana’s “Dance of the Comedians,” and the spirited “Dances of Galánta” by Kodály, bringing the evening to life with folkloric energy and vibrant orchestral color.

One of the great violinists of our time, Augustin Hadelich, is known for his virtuosity, poetic sensitivity, and commanding stage presence.
