CROWN POINT — Business leaders and professionals across Northwest Indiana will soon have an opportunity to expand their networks and engage with local service organizations during an upcoming joint event hosted by Rotary Means Business Northwest Indiana (RMB NWI).
The public networking event will bring together members from Rotary Clubs in Crown Point, Merrillville, Schererville, Hammond, and Valparaiso. The gathering is scheduled for Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the NWI Food Council, located at 11105 Fathke Road in Crown Point.
Designed to connect entrepreneurs, business owners, nonprofit leaders, and community partners, the event aims to foster regional collaboration while highlighting the broader advocacy work and community mission of Rotary Clubs throughout Northwest Indiana.
Event Agenda and Activities
The evening features a structured agenda designed to facilitate meaningful professional connections, including:
- Open Networking: Free-flowing time to meet local business representatives and community members.
- Program Introduction: An overview of the Rotary Means Business fellowship and regional service initiatives.
- Speed Networking Sessions: Fast-paced, structured rounds to maximize contacts and introductions.
- Volunteer Opportunities: An overview of upcoming local service projects and Rotary community initiatives.
“This event is about building meaningful connections,” said Joe Skibbie, a Crown Point Rotarian and owner of JRS Mar/Com. “We’re creating a platform for business leaders to thrive, collaborate, and explore how Rotary’s values align with professional success and community service.”
Open to the Public
Organizers emphasize that attendance is open to all professionals, business owners, and community leaders across the Region, regardless of whether they are current Rotary members.
As a local chapter of the global Rotary Means Business Fellowship, RMB NWI focuses on connecting professionals to encourage ethical networking, business collaboration, and community investment.
