INDIANA – The Financial Services Academy (FSA), a subsidiary of the Indiana Bankers Association, is proud to announce the launch of its first cohort of apprentices across Indiana. Twenty-five high school students are beginning Retail Banking apprenticeships through the Indiana Career Apprenticeship Pathway (INCAP), marking an important milestone for the Financial Services Academy and Indiana’s banking industry.
Over the next two years, the apprentices will participate in a comprehensive work-based learning experience designed to introduce them to careers in banking while developing the skills and experience needed to succeed in the industry. Students will split their time between the classroom and the workplace, gaining significant hands-on experience in customer-facing roles and participating in structured rotations across multiple bank departments.
“We are excited to partner with banks and other financial institutions across Indiana to give students the opportunity to explore banking as a career and gain meaningful, real-world experience,” said Chris Fisher, President and CEO of the Financial Services Academy. “This first of its kind initiative positions Indiana and our partner banks at the forefront of developing the next generation of banking professionals. As organizations across the country look to new approaches to building their future workforce, the Financial Services Academy and our bank partners are setting a standard that others are watching.”
