BLOOMINGTON — Registration is officially open for Season II of Bloomington Youth Basketball (BYB), the area’s premier recreational basketball league. Designed to accommodate players of all skill levels—from first-time hoopers to experienced players—the program guarantees that no child is cut and every participant receives equal playing time.
The league emphasizes fundamental skills, physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a supportive environment.
League Details & Structure
- Eligible Grades: Open to children in Grades K through 6.
- League Formatting: Teams are coed through Grade 3. Separate boys’ and girls’ divisions begin in Grade 4.
- Schedule & Venue: Practices and games are held at the Twin Lakes Recreation Center. The season includes one practice and one game per week, totaling seven games. There is no postseason tournament.
- Cost: Registration is $95 per child. Financial scholarships are available for qualifying families.
