SEYMOUR — Planning for the future can be difficult, but having important healthcare decisions documented ahead of time can provide peace of mind for individuals and their loved ones.
As part of its Covered & In Control series, the Schneck Foundation will host Advance Care Planning: Preparing for the Unexpected on Monday, August 31, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Schneck Professional Building, Classroom 500, located at 411 W. Tipton St. in Seymour.
The event is designed to help individuals and families better understand advance care planning and take practical steps toward making their healthcare wishes known.
During the session, attendees will hear from a panel of medical professionals who will discuss topics including advance directives, palliative care and hospice care. The program will also include a panel discussion and an open forum where attendees can ask questions.
Organizers say the session will focus on helping people prepare, protect their families and find greater peace of mind by thoughtfully planning for the future.
