Indiana Historical Society to honor 2026 Indiana Living Legends Aug. 14

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Historical Society will honor Dr. Craig Brater, Don Fischer, John Massie Mutz, and Renee Chube Washington as its 2026 Indiana Living Legends during a black-tie gala Friday, Aug. 14, at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center, 450 W. Ohio St. in Indianapolis.

The evening will recognize four Hoosiers whose leadership and service have shaped medicine, sports, government, philanthropy, and civic life across Indiana. The evening begins with a cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the awards program at 7:45 p.m. Media may attend the cocktail reception from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for photos and prearranged interviews. Media may also attend the event program beginning at 7:45 p.m., with check-in available beginning at 7:15 p.m. Dinner is not included with media access.
