Indiana State Fair unveils final wave of Free Concerts for 2026 Season

INDIANAPOLIS The Indiana State Fair has officially announced its third and final wave of musical acts scheduled for the 2026 Hoosier Lottery Free Stage lineup.

This year’s fair, operating under the baseball-centric theme “Always A Hit” presented by the Indianapolis Indians, will run from August 7 through August 23, 2026. As is tradition, the fair will remain closed on Mondays.

All performances hosted on the Free Stage are free to attend with paid general admission to the fair. Seating is strictly open on a first-come, first-served basis, though a limited number of reserved viewing area tickets are available for purchase online. Unless otherwise noted, all concerts are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.

Multi-Million-Dollar Venue Renovations

Concertgoers this year will be the first to experience a newly overhauled performance space. The fairgrounds underwent a significant, multi-million-dollar venue upgrade designed to attract higher-tier talent and optimize the acoustics and sightlines for crowds.

According to Anna Whelchel, Chief Marketing Officer of the Indiana State Fair, the project represents a major “investment in the future of live entertainment at the State Fair, elevating the guest experience while helping us attract exceptional artists and events for years to come.”

The physical enhancements to the Free Stage include:

  • Stage Expansion: A new 60’x40’ main performance stage equipped with dual 30’x40’ structural wings.
  • Increased Clearance: A roof height raised to 30 feet measured directly from the stage deck.
  • Upgraded Load Capacity: Enhanced total roof load capacity optimized to support up to 92,000 lbs. of professional touring gear.
  • Visual Displays: Flown stage-left and stage-right dual 10’x18’ high-definition LED video walls.
  • Flexible Capacity: Scalable configurations capable of accommodating between 5,000 and 7,500 guests, depending on general admission, reserved seating, or mixed layouts.

Ticket Giveaway & myLOTTERY Promotion

As part of their ongoing title sponsorship, the Hoosier Lottery is hosting a seasonal promotional giveaway through its myLOTTERY program. Six grand-prize winners will receive a comprehensive fair package.

The prize bundle features six State Fair admission tickets, a general parking pass, $250 in “Fair Bucks” vouchers, a custom Hoosier Lottery prize pack, and six premium box seats to an upcoming Indianapolis Indians baseball game at Victory Field.
