BEDFORD — The Bedford Community Band has officially announced its upcoming Memorial Day concert, promising the community an evening filled with great music, camaraderie, and patriotic spirit. The highly anticipated performance will take place on Monday, May 25th at 7:00 p.m. at the Thornton Park Pavilion.
This year’s concert marks an exciting milestone for the local ensemble. Following a period of significant growth, the band has officially outgrown its previous venue, the Otis Park Bandshell. The move to the more spacious Thornton Park Pavilion highlights the growing popularity and size of the community group.

The Bedford Community Band boasts a roster of 52 talented musicians representing a wide range of ages and backgrounds. The ensemble beautifully bridges generations, featuring local adults alongside dedicated student musicians from both Mitchell and Bedford North Lawrence school districts.
Demonstrating the inclusive and community-driven nature of the group, the band’s youngest member is currently an 8th-grade student. Together, these local artists have spent hours rehearsing to deliver a memorable performance for their neighbors and families.
