WASHINGTON—The Daviess County Chamber of Commerce held its annual banquet and awards ceremony Thursday evening, recognizing outstanding individuals and businesses for their contributions to the community.

The event highlighted the achievements of local leaders and celebrated their positive impact throughout Daviess County.
Bill Dobson, President and Owner of Bill Dobson Ford, was honored with the prestigious 2024 Hagel Award, recognizing his significant contributions to the community and business landscape.
Outgoing Chamber President Sarah McCracken, Agent/Owner with Shelter Insurance, was recognized for her dedicated service and leadership during her tenure.
Tracy “TC” Cook, Executive Director of Powerhouse, received the Firestarter Award, acknowledging her passion and drive in igniting positive change within the community.
The Washington Community Schools were presented with the 2024 Daviess County Impact Award, celebrating their commitment to education and their positive influence on students’ lives.
Discover Downtown Washington received the Dillon Tourism Award, which recognizes its efforts in promoting local tourism and enhancing the downtown area.
In the business categories, Graber’s Handcrafted Furniture was named the 2024 Daviess County Small Business of the Year, acknowledging its dedication to quality craftsmanship and customer service.
Taber Owens Construction Group was honored as the 2024 Daviess County Business of the Year, celebrating their success and contributions to the local economy.
