Eastern Greene seeks new head football coach for 2025 season

BLOOMFIELD– Eastern Greene High School has announced the search for a new varsity head football coach to lead the Thunderbirds into the 2025-2026 academic year. The school seeks a qualified and dedicated individual to guide its Class 1A program, which competes in the Southwest Conference and Sectional 47.

The Thunderbirds are looking for a coach with a proven track record of success within an education-based athletic program. Candidates must also be willing to complete the NFHS coaching certification courses mandated by the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA).

A teaching license is preferred, and the school has indicated that potential teaching positions may be available for the right candidate.

The head coach will oversee all levels of the football program, from varsity to youth development. Key responsibilities include:

  • Mentoring and developing student-athletes both on and off the field.
  • Coordinating fundraising efforts to support the program.
  • Engaging with the community to build support and enthusiasm for Eastern Greene football.

The school emphasizes the importance of leadership based on integrity, discipline, and enthusiasm. The new coach will be expected to cultivate a competitive and respected program that reflects these values.
