BEDFORD – Discover Southern Indiana, a regional tourism initiative, has announced an expansion to include all 11 counties within the Indiana Uplands region. This growth is possible through a new partnership between Regional Opportunity Initiatives (ROI) and Radius Indiana.
Previously, Discover Southern Indiana focused on eight counties within the Radius Indiana region. With this expansion, Brown, Owen, and Monroe counties will join the platform, alongside Crawford, Daviess, Dubois, Greene, Lawrence, Martin, Orange, and Washington counties, which have been part of the initiative since its 2018 launch. Perry County joined earlier this year, bringing the total to 12 counties and more than 50 cities and towns.

ROI President and CEO Tina Peterson emphasized the importance of this regional approach, highlighting the diverse attractions within the Uplands, from natural landscapes and sporting events to arts, culture, and dining experiences the region has to offer.
Radius Indiana established Discover Southern Indiana to promote tourism and support the region’s economy, where tourism accounts for approximately 10,000 jobs. The initiative provides resources and marketing support to leverage each county’s attractions and broaden their reach.
Discover Southern Indiana aims to drive tourism partnerships and cooperation between counties. The region boasts many attractions, including resorts, state parks, the Hoosier National Forest, cultural events, unique culinary experiences, caves, rivers, lakes, animal encounters, and golf courses.
