INDIANA – The Indiana Big Tree Registry has been updated with new champions and is accepting nominations.
There is no deadline for nominations. Nominations are accepted continuously, and officials will verify new nominations as they are received.
One of those giant trees is in Lawrence County. The Juglans cinerea or Butternut tree has a circumference of 280 inches, is 74 feet tall and 94 feet wide, and scored 377.50 points.
