BEDFORD – DNA Design, a local screenprint and embroidery company will be giving away a free Veteran’s Day shirt to all veterans and current military members on Friday, November 10, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Chris Atchison purchased the company from Anthony Owens of Upside Prints, a Marine, in 2019. Anthony started the business and hosted the Veteran’s Day giveaway several years ago, so when Atchison took over, he and his family decided to continue this honorable event.
Atchison explained that at that time Owens “would take them [veterans] back and show them the process.” Now that the business has expanded that part of the process will not be able to take place, but Atchison wanted to preserve the rest of the giveaway.
‘We love our service men and women,” Chris Atchison said. “It’s a great thing to do so we kept the tradition up. We’ve done it every year since.”
The shirts are free to veterans and current members of the military alike. Each year the shirts feature a new design, with colors representing the different services, such as Army, Navy, etc.
