BLOOMINGTON – The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce will host a candidate networking event on Monday, October 3rd, 2022, at the Dimension Mill.
All county, state, and federal candidates have been invited to participate. This event is co-sponsored by the Young Professionals Bloomington and is open to all members of the community.
The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with candidates networking with voters in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. Each candidate will be introduced to deliver a 3-minute pitch about their campaign and priorities. These sessions will be split with the first series of candidates coming up to the podium at 5:50 p.m. and the next group at 6:50 p.m. This occasion will also be the debut of the Bloomington Chamber mobile app. This will provide participants the opportunity to dive into the Chamber’s election coverage to learn more details about the candidates.
“The Chamber is pleased to facilitate meaningful interactions among political candidates and local voters,” said Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce president Eric Spoonmore. “This mid-term election is an important opportunity for residents to elect leaders that will take action on critical issues that range from a shortage of housing to community justice reform.”
The community is invited and encouraged to attend. Appetizers and a cash bar will be available. Doors will open at 5:15 p.m. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. and end by 7:30 p.m. The event is free, but attendees are asked to register at chamberbloomington.org/events.
