(BEDFORD) – The Lawrence County Economic Growth Council, a local economic development organization (LEDO), recently published their semi-annual stakeholder report to update and inform community stakeholders of their efforts over the past 6 months.
Highlights from the report include local business expansion news, workforce statistics, and a feature on Lawrence County’s internship involvement which has increased by more than 300%.
Growth Council CEO, Shance Sizemore, describes the report as a snapshot of the team’s efforts and their big wins.
“Our board stays informed through monthly meetings, but that only covers a small percentage of the community that’s being impacted by our team’s daily efforts. It’s our hope that putting out this kind of newsletter will increase awareness of who we are and what we do as an organization” says
Sizemore.
It’s also anticipated that the report will be shared by those board members and community leaders to help spread the word.
The Lawrence County Economic Growth Council is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the growth of Lawrence County businesses including startup support, workforce solutions, and technical assistance which promotes investment that improves the quality of life for its citizens.
