(SALEM) – The 2019 Washington County Farmers-Merchants Fair is underway in Salem. There are 4-H projects to view, food to purchase, vendor displays to see, amusement rides to enjoy, and more.

The theme is “Heroes All Around.” Entry fee is $6 per child. Admission is $4 per person.
Three-day ride bracelet special is now available at the Fair Board Office until noon on Monday and are only good for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

The teen pageant took place on Friday evening. Crowned Miss Washington County Teen was Bailey Hardwick, second runner-up was Tara Coats and third runner-up was Graci Belle. The People’s Choice winner was Bailey Leis.
Reserved tickets for the following grandstand events can be purchased at the fair board office:

- Rodeo – Monday, June 17th at 7:30 p.m.- Adults $15 and children $10.
- Demo Derby – Friday, June 21st at 7 p.m. – Adults $9 and children $6.
- Truck and Tractor Pull – Saturday, June 22 at 6:30 p.m.- Adults $9 and children $6.
The fair board reminds fairgoers there are no dogs allowed, with the exception of registered service dogs and dogs entered in the 4-H dog show during show times.
The Fair Boards asks that you smoke in designated smoking areas only.
