CHICAGO – Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales attended the 2026 North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) Annual Meeting.
The Indiana Securities Division, which operates under the Office of the Indiana Secretary of State, is responsible for protecting Hoosier investors, licensing investment professionals, and enforcing Indiana securities laws. Secretary Morales’ participation in the annual meeting reinforces Indiana’s commitment to protecting investors and strengthening collaboration with securities regulators across the country.
This year’s meeting is centered around the theme, “Illuminating the Future: Innovations and Investor Protection for a Changing World.” Regulators, policymakers, and financial services professionals from across North America are gathering to discuss the changing financial landscape and ways to strengthen investor safeguards while responding to new technologies and marketplace trends.
The agenda included discussions on prediction markets and retail investor protections, licensing and registration developments, recent securities rulemaking, corporate finance, and emerging enforcement challenges. Sessions also focused on digital asset schemes, unregistered offerings, cybersecurity, and other evolving threats facing investors.

Meetings like this give us an opportunity to learn from our counterparts, strengthen partnerships, and stay ahead of emerging threats. NASAA’s Annual Meeting provides an opportunity for state, provincial, and territorial securities regulators to exchange information, discuss regulatory developments, and strengthen coordination on investor protection and securities enforcement.
