BEDFORD — Area workplace leaders will soon have an opportunity to explore the practical applications and potential risks of artificial intelligence during a free, faculty-led workshop coming to Bedford this fall.
Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) announced it will host “AI in the Workplace: Practical AI for Today’s Workforce” on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the StoneGate Arts & Education Center, located at 931 15th Street.
The two-hour session is designed to help local business leaders and teams navigate how rapidly evolving AI technology is reshaping professional environments. Participants will focus on building practical AI literacy, identifying responsible workplace tools, reviewing real-world application examples, and engaging in Q&A discussions about integrating AI safely into daily operations.
The event is presented in partnership with the StoneGate Arts & Education Center, the Lawrence County Economic Growth Council, and WorkOne.

The session will be led by Robert E. McCoy, MBA, MSAI, a Military Partnership Executive and Adjunct Professor at Indiana Wesleyan University.
Bringing a background that spans military service, aerospace, and project management, McCoy works with organizational leaders to adopt emerging technologies responsibly to enhance workforce readiness, productivity, and decision-making capabilities.
