INDIANA — Registration is now officially open for The Salvation Army’s 3rd Annual “Clays for a Cause” event, scheduled for Friday, September 25, 2026. The fundraising competition will take place at the Indiana Gun Club, located just northeast of Indianapolis, with all proceeds dedicated to sending children from across Indiana to Hidden Falls Camp in Bedford next summer.

The event will feature a 12-station sporting clays course designed for both individual competitors and four-person teams. Native Hoosier Creek Stewart—a globally recognized wilderness survival expert, author, and television personality—will serve as emcee for the day’s activities.

Supporting Hidden Falls Camp
Located on 700 acres in southern Indiana, Hidden Falls Camp offers at-risk and disadvantaged youth a safe, structured outdoor environment.
Campers participate in traditional outdoor recreation, including swimming, archery, fishing, mountain biking, zip-lining, high ropes courses, and STEAM-focused educational activities.

“Clays for a Cause is becoming a fun tradition and continues to be a great way to raise funds in support of our summer camp programs,” said Major Marc Johnson, Divisional Commander for The Salvation Army Indiana Division. “Across our state, Hoosiers hold fond memories of Hidden Falls Camp — whether those memories were made this summer or thirty years ago. It’s a special place that brings out the best in children and opens their eyes to the wonders of God’s creation.”
Hidden Falls Camp Director Dan Bell emphasized the transformative impact the camp has on young participants:

“At camp we see kids open up and let go of the burdens they might carry back at home,” Bell said. “When they’re at Hidden Falls, they get to make new friends, try new experiences, and start healing from the hurts that we can’t even see. This is a place where they can just be kids and feel safe and nurtured.”
