Countdown to Camp: Indianapolis Colts schedule final summer at Grand Park ahead of 2026 season

INDIANAPOLIS In less than two weeks, the Indianapolis Colts will officially launch their preparations for the upcoming 2026-27 NFL season. The team’s highly anticipated summer training camp is scheduled to kick off on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. Rookies are scheduled to report on July 27, followed by the veteran roster on July 28, all leading up to the first official public practice on the morning of July 29.

This summer’s camp carries extra sentiment for the franchise and local fans: it marks the eighth and final year the Colts will host their training camp at the Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield, Indiana.

A Fan-Focused Farewell to Westfield

The Colts are set to host 13 open practices between July 29 and August 20. While attendance at seven of the general morning practices is entirely free, all fans are required to secure a digital ticket in advance through the Colts Mobile App or Colts.com.

The centerpiece of this year’s camp features six “Primetime Practices” scheduled for evenings and weekends. These high-energy sessions are designed to simulate a game-day atmosphere for fans. Tickets for the primetime dates cost $5 for adults 18 and older, while admission remains free for kids 17 and under. The team announced that 100% of the ticket proceeds will directly fund the growth of youth flag football opportunities across the state of Indiana.

Beyond the practice fields, the popular 85,000-square-foot “Colts City” fan experience will return daily. It features an interactive traveling museum, cheerleader meet-and-greets, and specialized kids’ football drill zones.

On-Field Preparation and Crucial Joint Practices

Head coach Shane Steichen will lead a squad facing high expectations as the franchise attempts to break a five-year playoff drought and challenge for the AFC South crown.

The camp schedule includes critical tests against outside opponents. The Colts will travel to Foxborough for a joint road practice with the New England Patriots on August 11, ahead of their preseason opener on August 13.

To close out the summer camp schedule at Grand Park, Indianapolis will host the Atlanta Falcons for two intense joint practices on Wednesday, August 19, and Thursday, August 20. These joint sessions will serve as the final tune-up before the two teams face off in a preseason matchup at Lucas Oil Stadium on August 22.
