Downtown Bloomington gearing up for Fourth of July Parade

BLOOMINGTON Downtown Bloomington is gearing up for a major patriotic milestone. This year’s annual Independence Day celebration doubles as a historic tribute to America’s 250th birthday, and city officials are inviting the community to gather for a morning of music, tradition, and local pride.

The Fourth of July Parade festivities will kick off on Saturday, July 4th, starting on the Monroe County Courthouse Lawn. Admission for all spectators is completely free.

Event Timeline

  • 9:00 a.m. — Pre-Parade Music: The celebration begins with a live performance on the Courthouse Lawn by the beloved Bloomington Community Band, setting a festive atmosphere with classic American marches and patriotic favorites.
