ORLEANS — Law enforcement agencies across Southern Indiana are asking for the public’s immediate assistance in locating an 82-year-old man who went missing early this morning and is believed to be in extreme danger.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Danny Huddleson was last seen leaving his residence in the Orleans area at approximately 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
Deputies report that Huddleson suffers from dementia, meaning he may be highly disoriented, vulnerable to the current summer heat elements, and in urgent need of professional medical attention. Because he left before family members woke up, it is currently unknown what clothing he was wearing at the time of his departure.
Vehicle Description
Huddleson left his home operating a distinct commercial vehicle rather than a standard passenger car.
- Vehicle Type: White straight truck (box/delivery style truck)
- Distinguishing Marks: The front doors on both the driver and passenger sides are clearly marked with signage that reads “Huddleson’s Machine Shop.”

Regional travelers, truck stop employees, and gas station attendants along State Road 37, U.S. 150, and surrounding rural routes are urged to keep a close eye out for a vehicle matching this description.
What You Should Do
Because Huddleson has been missing for several hours in a commercial vehicle, he may have traveled well outside of Orange County into neighboring Lawrence, Washington, Crawford, or Martin counties.
If you spot a truck matching this description parked on a shoulder, at a business, or driving erratically, do not hesitate. Please immediately contact your local law enforcement agency via 911 or call the Orange County Sheriff’s Office dispatch line directly at 812-723-2417. Any information, no matter how minor it may seem, could be vital to bringing him home safely.
