GARY – What happens when powerful connections meet ballpark energy – A grand slam good time.
The Northwest Indiana Influential Women Association (NWIIWA) is bringing its signature spirit of collaboration and community to the stadium for Women Take the Field, set for 5:30-8:30 p.m. June 15 at US SteelYard in Gary.

The one-of-a-kind evening invites women, and those who support them, from all industries to step out of the office and onto the field for an exciting opportunity built around connection, community pride, and good old-fashioned fun. It’s networking, but with a bit of a changeup.
“This is what happens when you take networking out of the usual places and put it somewhere bold, fun, and completely unexpected,” said Andrea Pearman, executive director of NWIIWA. “Women Take the Field is about energy, visibility, and creating real connections that last long after the final pitch.”
The evening features a private luxury suite game experience, giving attendees the best seats in the house to enjoy America’s favorite pastime. Guests will also step out onto the field for an exclusive walk or run of the bases, capture a group photo, and enjoy classic ballpark fare, including burgers, hot dogs, and other refreshments. A cash bar will be available. The Women Take the Field ticket also includes early VIP entry into the event at 5 p.m.
And of course, no night at the US SteelYard would be complete without celebrating the spirit of local baseball. Home to the Gary SouthShore RailCats, the stadium is the perfect gathering place to drive connection and community among the women who make Northwest Indiana’s organizations and businesses shine. On the field, the Gary SouthShore RailCats home team will take on the visiting Chicago Dogs.
It is an event designed for coworkers, friends, or industry peers to gather together, have some laughs, and forge new relationships.
Organizations can register for free to receive a custom link to share with their group. Participating organizations will receive logo recognition on event signage, a branded promotional flyer, and registration tracking. Individual tickets are $25, and there are no minimum or maximum guest requirements.
The lineup has been made. All that’s left to do is step up to the plate and have some fun!
