BEDFORD — Navigating insurance options can often feel overwhelming, especially for seniors and caregivers trying to understand coverage, benefits, and rising healthcare costs. Organizers of the 2026 Senior Fair presented by Vertical Home Health hope to make that process easier by bringing together insurance professionals and healthcare resources under one roof on Wednesday, May 20.
The annual Senior Fair, held at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church in Bedford, will feature more than 50 vendors, including insurance companies and specialists who can provide information and assistance on private insurance plans, Medicare, and Medicaid programs.
Attendees will have opportunities to speak directly with insurance representatives about coverage options, supplemental plans, prescription benefits, and questions related to eligibility and enrollment. Vendors will also be available to explain common insurance terms and help seniors better understand how different plans may fit their healthcare and financial needs.
In addition to Medicare and Medicaid guidance, some vendors will offer resources related to long-term care planning, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, and wellness benefits available to seniors. Caregivers and family members are also encouraged to attend to learn more about programs that may assist loved ones.
The Senior Fair, hosted by 1340 WBIW, Southern Indiana’s Classic Hits 105.5, and 102.5 Litefm, continues to grow each year as a trusted community resource connecting residents with services that support healthy, independent living. Along with insurance providers, the event will feature exhibitors focused on healthcare, home services, senior living resources, wellness programs, and community support organizations.
The free event runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions and take advantage of the opportunity to compare information from multiple providers in one convenient location.
