Indiana 4-H to offer virtual club officer training March 12

INDIANA Indiana 4-H will host a statewide virtual Club Officer Training for youth in grades 3 through 12 on Thursday, March 12.

The free training will be held via Zoom from 6 to 8 p.m. Eastern time, or 5 to 7 p.m. Central time, and will be led by members of Purdue Collegiate 4-H. The session is open to current 4-H club officers as well as youth interested in serving in officer roles in the future.

The training will cover officer responsibilities, parliamentary procedure basics, fundraising ideas, community service planning, long-term goal setting, and strategies for balancing business, recreation, and education during club meetings. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions related to college, Purdue University, and career readiness.

An interactive component will encourage participants to share a leadership tip or goal with other 4-H members from across the state.

Registration is free but required and must be completed by March 12 prior to the session.
