From Stranger Things to Matlock: Bedford residents share their must-watch fall TV picks

BEDFORD — Fall television is back, and residents across Bedford are buzzing with excitement as some of the year’s most anticipated shows return — from Stranger Things wrapping up its epic saga to Wednesday returning just in time for the season.

Bedford Chamber of Commerce CEO Dan Bortner shared his most anticipated show: “Season 5 of Stranger Things! Takes place in Indiana and my era!” Stranger Things concludes its ten-year run with episodes airing on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve.”

Lawrence County Commissioner Jeff McKnight listed Matlock as one of his top picks, along with the series Landman. BMS health teacher Hannah Stultz agreed, saying she is “very excited” about the return of Landman.

Intern field reporter Dylan Goller shared his top choice: Only Murders in the Building. “The cast is stacked this year, including Christoph Waltz, who is one of my favorite actors,” Goller said. “I’m excited to catch up with my favorite characters on the show.”

Meanwhile, Lawrence County Republican Party Chairman Chase Cummings admitted he doesn’t watch much television but said he’s looking forward to Tracker, which returns in October.

Students at JCA also weighed in, with two overwhelming favorites: Stranger Things and The Summer I Turned Pretty.

From students to city leaders, Bedford is ready to settle in, grab the remote and enjoy a fall season full of TV favorites.
