Lawrence County 4-H Tractor Operator Contest

BEDFORD – Lawrence County 4-H is excited to bring back a high-quality experience for youth interested in lawnmowers (zero-turn or garden tractors) and/or tractors.

The 2023 4-H Tractor Operator Contest will provide a great learning experience for participants to enhance their education on how to properly, and safely, operate tractors and lawnmowers.

This event will provide youth with educational information to develop skills, such as principles of engine operation, electrical systems, and safe operation. This event will also develop life skills, such as decision-making skills, science and technology skills, and communication skills.

These engaging, hands-on learning opportunities will be supervised by caring adults. The event will be held on June 9 at the Lawrence County 4-H Fairgrounds.

The Junior division is for youth in grades 3-7 and the senior division is for youth in grades 8-12.

Don’t let experience hold you back from signing up for this contest. There will be a zero-turn class available to reach those who may not have traditional tractor experience. A practice course will be held in the morning, with the contest following in the afternoon.

We encourage anyone who may be interested to register in 4-H Online today.
