MITCHELL — The Southern Indiana Center for Independent Living (SICIL) and Living Well Home Care are inviting community members aged 60 and older to attend a Senior Citizens Day celebration on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
The event features a full morning and afternoon schedule of social activities, entertainment, and local community gatherings across two locations in Mitchell.
Event Schedule and Locations
The morning activities will take place at the Mitchell Senior Center, located at 101 Tom Green Drive:
- 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.: Bingo games with prizes JPG
- 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Lunch & Learn session, featuring food and refreshments along with social time for attendees JPG
The afternoon portion of the celebration will transition to the Main Street Stage in downtown Mitchell:
- 1:00 p.m.: Live music performance JPG
- 1:30 p.m.: Official Queen Crowning ceremony JPG
