BLOOMINGTON – The road back to college basketball dominance now has a map for the Indiana Hoosiers, who officially released their 2026-2027 non-conference schedule.
Entering a new era under head coach Darian DeVries, the program has put together a slate that blends fan-favorite local showdowns with marquee neutral-site matchups designed to test the squad early.
“We are excited about how the non-conference schedule came together,” Coach DeVries said during the announcement. “We will get the opportunity to test ourselves in several high-profile, power-conference games this season. We cannot wait to get this season rolling and be back in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall with Hoosier Nation.”
Indiana will ease into the year with three preliminary exhibition games before launching the official campaign on November 2 against Eastern Illinois inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. In total, the Hoosiers will play nine of their twelve non-conference contests on their home floor in Bloomington, providing fans plenty of opportunities to catch the team before Big Ten action gets underway.
The real test for DeVries’ squad comes mid-November with a grueling stretch on neutral courts. On November 8, Indiana heads to Indianapolis to battle Syracuse at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Just nine days later, the Hoosiers will take center stage at New York City’s legendary Madison Square Garden to face off against Arkansas on November 17.
The premier event of the non-conference slate arrives on Friday, November 20, when Indiana renews its historic, high-intensity rivalry against the Kentucky Wildcats at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The neutral-site clash in the state’s capital is expected to be one of the most anticipated non-conference games in the country this season.
Following that gauntlet, the Hoosiers will return to Bloomington to close out the year with home dates against UCF on December 12 and Missouri on December 18, before wrapping up non-conference play against Fairleigh Dickinson on December 22.
