ODON — The Odon Lions Club is calling on local community members to roll up their sleeves for an upcoming blood drive as regional blood supplies remain critical.
The community drive is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 29, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Odon Lions Club building, located at 103 Lake Drive in Odon.
The event will be conducted by Versiti Blood Center of Indiana. Drive organizers emphasize that local medical facilities face ongoing demand for blood products, making every donation vital for emergency care, surgeries, and ongoing medical treatments.
To encourage participation, all individuals who register and attend the blood drive will be automatically entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card.
While walk-ins are welcomed, organizers strongly encourage donors to schedule an appointment ahead of time to help streamline the process. To reserve a donation slot, residents can call or text 812-698-1096.
