PAOLI — Think you make the best pie in town? The Paoli Fall Festival is giving local bakers a chance to put their skills to the test during the Paoli Fall Festival Pie Contest on Friday, September 4.
Sponsored by Lost River Co-op & Cafe, the contest will feature three categories, giving participants plenty of opportunities to show off their favorite homemade recipes.
Prizes will be awarded for:
- Best Fruit Pie
- Best Cream Pie
- Best Unique Pie
The winner of each category will receive a $25 gift certificate to Lost River Co-op.
Participants must pre-register for the contest by Thursday, September 3. Pies should be dropped off at Lost River Co-op at 1 p.m. on Sept. 4, with judging beginning at 2 p.m.
The category winners will be announced at 5:30 p.m. at JayCee Park as part of the Paoli Fall Festival. At 6 p.m., festivalgoers will have the opportunity to sample the contest entries and cast their vote for the People’s Choice Award.
The contest gives bakers a chance to compete for prizes while adding a tasty attraction to the annual Paoli Fall Festival.
Whether your specialty is a classic fruit pie, a creamy favorite or something completely outside the box, organizers are encouraging local bakers to bring their best creation. Bake your best, bring your pie and be ready to let the community decide.
