VINCENNES — The Indiana Military Museum will host its annual “Salute to the Veterans of WWII” living history event on Saturday, Sept. 5, and Sunday, Sept. 6. The two-day gathering takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. both days at the museum grounds located at 715 South 6th Street in Vincennes.
The community event features free admission to all outdoor activities, including live battle reenactments, interactive encampments, and historic displays. Free parking and shuttle service will also be available for visitors.

Event Highlights & Activities
- Battle Reenactments & Displays: Tactical battle reenactments alongside military camps, vehicles, and historic memorabilia displays.
- Live USO Entertainment: Period musical performances by Dixie Denier, featuring showtimes at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. both days.
- Speakers & Features: Historical guest speakers, potential military aircraft flyovers, and access to new museum annex exhibits.
- Vendors: On-site food vendors and military collectible vendors.
While outdoor reenactments, demonstrations, and parking are free to the public, regular admission fees apply for visitors exploring the main indoor museum collection.
