BEDFORD — It’s time to put on your boogie shoes and travel back to 1976 as Ben Franklin Ace Hardware celebrates 50 years of serving the community with a special 50th Anniversary Disco Block Party.
The community is invited to join the celebration for a day filled with free food, music, giveaways, family activities and plenty of nostalgia.
WQRK and LiteFM will be live on location from 10 a.m. to noon, helping Ben Franklin celebrate five decades of serving local customers and the community.
Guests can enjoy a variety of activities and free items throughout the celebration, including:
- Free lunch, cookies and refreshments
- Tool demonstrations
- Free T-shirts
- Ace swag, while supplies last
- Free kites for kids, while supplies last
- A display featuring 50 years of photos and memories
- An opportunity to take a photo with Ben the Bear
The celebration will also feature giveaways beginning at 11:30 a.m., including the opportunity to win a $300 Ben Franklin Ace Hardware shopping spree.
Anyone hoping to win the shopping spree must sign up before 11:30 a.m. to be eligible.
