SEYMOUR — Car enthusiasts, families and community members are invited to gather in Seymour for the 11th Annual FOP Pre-Scoop Cruise-In & Car Show “Tom Gray Memorial” on Friday, Aug. 21.
The annual event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at 100 S. Walnut St. in Seymour, with parking beginning at 3 p.m. Awards will be presented at 8:30 p.m.
The event is organized to support the FOP Cops & Kids programs, giving local residents an opportunity to enjoy an evening of cars, live entertainment, food and fundraising while supporting programs that benefit area children.
This year’s event will feature a variety of activities and entertainment throughout the evening. Six Ways To Sunday will take the stage for live music, while The Junkyard Food Truck and Catering will serve BBQ favorites.
Guests will also have opportunities to participate in several fundraising activities, including silent auctions, a gun raffle and a 50/50 raffle.
One of the highlights will be a live auction featuring a $10,000 home improvement package from Royalty Roofing and Construction, including options such as roofing, siding, decking, windows and fencing.
All vehicle entries will also receive a chance to win a $2,500 Bob Poynter Family of Dealerships gift card.
Supporting the FOP Cops & Kids Programs
Proceeds from the event benefit the FOP Cops & Kids programs, making the annual cruise-in more than just an opportunity for car enthusiasts to show off their vehicles.
Organizers are thanking the community and sponsors for their continued support, which has helped the event grow into an annual Seymour tradition.
The event’s title sponsors include Royalty Roofing and Construction, Christensen Family Funeral Home and Bob Poynter Chevrolet Buick GMC.

Registration Information
Car enthusiasts interested in participating can pre-register for $15. Day-of-show registration is $20.
Pre-registration was requested by Aug. 7, though interested participants may want to contact event organizers for current registration availability.
The FOP Pre-Scoop Cruise-In & Car Show provides an evening of classic and specialty vehicles, live music, food and family-friendly activities while raising money for a cause focused on local children.
