BEDFORD — The community is invited to join the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County for their Ugly Duck Derby and Community Swim Day on Saturday, September 5.

Community Swim Day will be held at the John Lowery Municipal Pool located at 1625 17th St, Bedford. The event will take place from noon to 6 p.m. and is free for attendees. Community Swim Day was made possible by United Way of South Central Indiana.
The Ugly Duck Derby will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Attendees will have the chance to participate in a competitive duck race and win big prizes, including a $4,000 grand prize. The Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County’s goal is to sell 10,000 yellow ducks and 100 blue ducks before race day.
How it Works
Each ticket purchased is assigned a number that matches a duck in the race. When the ducks are released, the first duck to cross the finish line wins prizes based on their ticket number.

- Blue Duck Race: 100 tickets sold – chance to win $2,000
