LAWRENCE COUNTY — Community members are invited to gather at the Holiday Drive-In Theater for an evening of faith, fellowship, and family-friendly entertainment during an upcoming outdoor event featuring live gospel music, preaching, free refreshments, and a movie under the stars.
The free event will offer dinner, live music, and old-fashioned preaching, with organizers welcoming people of all ages to attend. Admission and parking are free, with approximately 300 parking spaces available.
The evening’s program will feature music by Crossroads Band, followed by a message from Bob England. Later in the evening, Tim Goshen and the Believers will perform before Jimmy Johnson delivers another message.
As the sun sets, attendees are invited to stay for a free outdoor showing of “The Jesus Film” (1979). The film portrays the life of Jesus Christ based on the Gospel of Luke and has been translated into hundreds of languages since its release, making it one of the most widely viewed evangelistic films in the world.
Free bottled water and popsicles will be available throughout the evening. Concessions will also be available for purchase, along with refreshments from Bee Sweet Lemonade and baked goods from Rustic Crumb Pastries. Backyard Ministries will also be on-site.
Local churches are invited to participate by setting up a free informational or prayer booth. Churches wishing to participate should bring their own tent, table, and chairs.
While a limited number of chairs will be available, guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for added comfort. Those who prefer may also listen to the event from their vehicles using an FM radio broadcast.
Although admission is free, a freewill offering will be accepted to help cover event expenses.
Organizers encourage everyone to attend, saying all are welcome regardless of church affiliation or background.
