BLOOMINGTON — The Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market (BCFM) will host a morning of live music, civic engagement, and community celebrations at Showers Common.

The weekly event runs from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 401 N. Morton St.
Live Performance: Erika Stoner
This Saturday marks the return of resident, accomplished harpist, and actress Erika Stoner.

Stoner, who studied harp under renowned instructors Elizabeth Hainen and Linda Wood at Indiana University, brings a storytelling quality to her music by blending traditional Celtic melodies with classic American songs.
Her career spans stage and screen, including appearances in national television commercials for Dunkin’ Donuts and Honda (alongside Chuck Norris), as well as local theatrical performances, such as her role as Mrs. Gloop in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater.
Stoner will perform two sets during the market:
- First Set: 9:15 a.m.
- Second Set: 10:30 a.m.
Interested listeners can contact her via email at operaharp@gmail.com.
“Mayor’s Team at the Table” Outreach
As part of the city’s ongoing “Mayor’s Team at the Table” initiative, market-goers will have the opportunity to connect directly with local government leadership in an informal setting.

This Saturday, City of Bloomington Human Resources Director Sharr Pechac will be present from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to visit with residents, answer questions, and discuss city programs and services.
Celebrating Park and Recreation Month
The market’s activities coincide with national Park and Recreation Month.

Throughout the month, the city is highlighting “The Power Of” Parks and Recreation, celebrating the staff, programs, and public spaces that foster community health, resilience, and connection.
