BEDFORD – This Saturday, July 18, local community members are invited to a car wash fundraiser supporting Bedford Little League.
This fundraiser aims to raise between $500 and $1,000 to cover travel, lodging, and tournament expenses for the team’s upcoming State Tournament. The fundraiser will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Teen Center, located at 1830 16th St in Bedford.
“Just support the team and wish them good luck,” said Manager Jeff Callahan. “If you see them in the community doing things, tell them to go compete. The Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County charters our local Little League, so support the Boys & Girls Club too.”
All proceeds will go towards supporting Bedford Little League’s coaches and players, including District Administrator Greg Simms, League President Mark Albertson, Manager Jeff Callahan, Coaches Nathan Slaughter and Keith Wadsworth, players Cordan Short, Gannon Tillette, Owen Murphy, Lucas Ford, Keegan Pace, Branson Crouch, Nash Nikirk, Kane Hobson, Easton Tomlinson, Michael Fletcher, Easton Slaughter and Saban Pennycuff.
The Bedford Little League State Tournament is set to take place from July 23 to July 28 in Auburn, Indiana.
