Celebrate 50 years of Bloomington’s Sherwood Oaks Park July 22

BLOOMINGTON – Stop by Sherwood Oaks Park Wednesday, July 22, any time between 4 and 6 p.m. to celebrate 50 years of neighborhood fun and memories.

Share your favorite Sherwood Oaks Park stories, challenge your neighbors to a game of pickleball or cornhole, enjoy a popsicle, and spend some time with friends old and new.

No registration needed — just drop by, have some fun, and help to celebrate 50 years of Sherwood Oaks Park.

• Features: Playground, asphalt-surface Jackson Creek Trail, one unreservable picnic shelter, basketball and tennis courts, grassy play area, drinking fountain (available seasonally).
• Restroom: Porta-John located on the north side of the red barn in nearby Rogers Family Park; restrooms available seasonally at nearby Olcott Park.

Parking

One small parking lot at the cul-de-sac of E. Elliston Dr. in the park, located in the Sherwood Oaks neighborhood. There are six marked vehicle parking spaces and one designated handicap accessible space. A bike rack is located at the northwest corner of the tennis courts.
