MONTGOMERY — Area residents looking to extend their summer celebrations have a massive pyrotechnic display to look forward to this weekend.
The Montgomery Ruritan Club, in partnership with DEF Pyrotechnics, has extended a public invitation to a community fireworks celebration scheduled for Saturday evening, July 11.
Organizers promise a unique, multi-sensory experience for attendees. Rather than a traditional display, Saturday’s fireworks will be fully synchronized to a custom music soundtrack. The choreographed auditory lineup will feature a diverse cross-genre selection of tracks from major national recording artists, including country stars LeAnn Rimes and Rascal Flatts, pop icon Miley Cyrus, and hard rock band Godsmack.
Spectators are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets to secure a comfortable viewing spot on the grounds.
Schedule and Safety Guidelines
The main aerial display is slated to launch at approximately 10:00 p.m. Ruritan officials noted that the exact start time remains dependent on favorable weather and local safety conditions at dusk.
To ensure the safety of all families in attendance, officials have issued a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding personal fireworks. Outside pyrotechnics—including sparklers, firecrackers, or consumer-grade aerials—are strictly prohibited anywhere on the Montgomery Ruritan Club grounds. Event staff and local authorities have confirmed that anyone found using personal fireworks on the property will be immediately asked to leave the premises.
