The Mitchell Opera House is set to host Sounds of Summer on Saturday, July 11th, a premier nationwide touring tribute show that brings the story and timeless music of the Beach Boys to life.
Based out of Indiana, Sounds of Summer consists of four incredibly talented musicians who have known each other since grade school, bonded by a shared, lifelong love of 1960s music. Comprising two sets of first cousins, the band naturally captures the distinct, blended familial vocal sound that made the original Beach Boys a global phenomenon.
Since launching their tour in 2015, the group has traveled across the nation playing a variety of theaters, festivals, and concert venues. They deliver an authentic look and sound that takes audiences on a fast-paced trip down memory lane, performing over 30 familiar, chart-topping hits.
The band’s dedication to staying true to the original Beach Boys sound has earned them widespread praise and high-profile recognition. In September 2016, they had the distinct privilege of performing a live, hour-long special on AXS TV’s national broadcast “World’s Greatest Tribute Bands,” live from Hollywood, California.
