SOUTHERN INDIANA — Golfers, volunteers, and local businesses recently teamed up on the greens for the 4th Annual SoIN Scramble, turning a day of sport into a major community-wide investment for men’s ministry across the region.

According to Area Director Nate Flynn, the annual event successfully raised more than $9,000. The funds are earmarked to fuel the organization’s year-round mission of strengthening relationships with local pastors, coaching and equipping leaders to disciple the next generation, and constructing local community groups to foster deeper brotherhood among men.
This year’s tournament featured the theme “Playing the Long Game.”
“It takes a long time to build a disciple, and we are committed to helping men grow into who God designed them to be,” Flynn noted in a statement following the event. “The impact doesn’t end when the last putt drops. It carries forward as we steward this investment.”

By the Numbers: Impact on the Greens
The 4th annual event saw significant growth and engagement across the board:
- $9,000+ raised to support year-round men’s programming.
- 75 golfers took to the course—with organizers noting that nearly half of this year’s participants were engaging with the ministry’s mission for the first time.
- 30+ volunteers on-site to assist with tournament operations and serve participants.
- 30+ sponsors united behind the cause.
Local media staples stepped up to anchor the fundraiser. Serving as the official Presenting Sponsors for the scramble were Southern Indiana radio stations WBIW 1340 AM, WQRK 105.5 FM Southern Indiana’s Classic Hits, and WPHZ 102.5 Lite FM. The visual record also highlights the ministry’s broader milestone, proudly noting that they are “Celebrating 40 years of ministry – investing in the next generation.”
Looking Ahead to Year Five
With the success of this year’s scramble in the books, organizers are already looking ahead to a major milestone next summer.
Flynn announced that next year will mark the 5th Annual SoIN Scramble, which will carry the theme “LEGACY.” Organizers state that the heart behind the upcoming theme is simple: investing in a mission that outlasts a single golf event and has a positive ripple effect on families, local communities, and future generations.
