BLOOMINGTON — Local nonprofit organization New Hope for Families is looking to expand its team of volunteers for the busy summer season, while simultaneously calling on the community for donations of essential hygiene and childcare products.

The organization is actively recruiting volunteers to fill a variety of vital roles from June through August. Available positions cater to a wide range of interests and schedules, including:
- Admin Building Host: Assisting with administrative tasks and welcoming visitors.
- Shelter Host: Providing hospitality and support to families utilizing the emergency shelter.
- ELC Classroom Volunteer: Assisting teachers and engaging with children in the Early Learning Center.
- Closing Volunteer: Helping secure facilities and wrap up daily operations at the end of the evening.

In addition to volunteer support, New Hope for Families has issued an urgent request for personal care items to keep their pantry stocked for resident families. The organization’s most immediate needs include:
- Personal Hygiene: Toothbrushes, toothpaste, full-size bottles of shampoo and conditioner, body wash, and deodorant.
- Infant and Toddler Care: Baby lotion, baby wash, diaper rash cream, diapers, pull-ups, and unscented baby wipes.
