Matchups and times set for 2026 IHSAA Baseball State finals at Victory Field

INDIANAPOLIS – The stage is officially set for the pinnacle of Indiana high school baseball. Following a high-stakes weekend of semi-state action, the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) has finalized the bracket, leaving eight elite teams with a clear path toward a coveted state championship banner.

A total of four state title matchups will span two action-packed days between Friday, June 19, and Saturday, June 20, 2026. To accommodate fans, the IHSAA will split the schedule into back-to-back doubleheaders. Classes 1A and 3A are slated to take the field on Friday, followed by the Classes 2A and 4A programs battling it out on Saturday.

For the 28th time in state history, downtown Indianapolis’s iconic Victory Field—the pristine home of the Triple-A Indianapolis Indians—will serve as the host venue for the state finals.

The official schedule, matchups, and team records heading into the championship weekend are detailed below:

Friday, June 19: Opening Night Doubleheader

Class 3A State Championship | 4:30 p.m. ET

  • The Matchup: Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles (27-3-1) vs. Andrean Fighting Cristeros (30-3)
  • Outlook: A collision between two premier baseball programs. Andrean hits the 30-win milestone looking to lean on its historic tournament pedigree, while a highly disciplined Guerin Catholic squad aims to execute on the big stage following a nearly flawless spring run.

Class 1A State Championship | 8:00 p.m. ET

  • The Matchup: Northeast Dubois Jeeps (23-5) vs. Kouts Mustangs (31-1)
  • Outlook: Kouts arrives at Victory Field boasting an incredible 31-1 record, making them one of the most statistically dominant teams in any class this season. They will find a fierce challenger in a battle-tested Northeast Dubois team that hit its stride perfectly during regional and semi-state play.

Saturday, June 20: Championship Saturday

Class 2A State Championship | 4:30 p.m. ET

  • The Matchup: Evansville Mater Dei Wildcats (29-3) vs. Bluffton Tigers (19-10)
  • Outlook: The Wildcats of Evansville Mater Dei bring a dominant 29-3 record into the weekend, combining explosive batting line-ups with deep pitching rotations. They face a resilient Bluffton team that defied early-season expectations, proving to be peak performers when elimination was on the line during the tournament trail.

Class 4A State Championship | 8:00 p.m. ET

  • The Matchup: Bloomington South Panthers (25-6) vs. Lake Central Indians (27-8)
  • Outlook: The crown jewel of the state finals features a classic North vs. South heavyweight battle in the state’s largest class. Bloomington South punched its ticket to Indy by grinding out a tense 1-0 shutout against Evansville North in the semi-state final game. They will face a powerhouse Lake Central program that locked down the northern bracket with a statement 6-2 victory over Penn.

For fans making the trip to downtown Indianapolis, gates at Victory Field will open one hour before the opening pitch of the first game each day. General admission tickets can be purchased ahead of time through the IHSAA or at the Victory Field box office.
