BLOOMINGTON — The Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market (BCFM) continues to serve as the city’s quintessential Saturday morning tradition, offering residents far more than a place to stock up on fresh, regional produce.

Located at the Market Plaza next to City Hall, the market provides a vibrant community space to relax with friends, connect with neighbors, and enjoy a leisurely weekend morning over locally roasted coffee, fresh pastries, and diverse prepared food options.
This Saturday, June 13, 2026, features a packed lineup of live music, fine arts, environmental education, and local government outreach.
Handcrafted Art Takeover: A Fair of the Arts
This Saturday marks the return of A Fair of the Arts, a celebration of local creativity hosted by Bloomington Parks and Recreation. Taking place on the second Saturday of each summer month, the event showcases displays, sales, and live demonstrations of handmade art and fine crafts from regional artists.

The fair will run concurrently with the standard farmers’ market on Fernandez Plaza, directly in front of City Hall.
Live Music, Fresh Produce, and Local Outreach

The BCFM Circular Stage will host The Brilliant Colors Jazz Trio featuring Glen Helgeson. The savvy guitar, bass, and drum trio will perform two distinct sets at 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., delivering a fresh mixture of jazz infused with Latin, Caribbean, and Middle Eastern rhythms.

June harvests are hitting their peak. Marketgoers can expect a robust selection of seasonal produce this weekend, including fresh arugula, beets, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, spinach, mushrooms, peas, radishes, rhubarb, and early summer favorites like cherries, berries, and peaches.

As part of the “Mayor’s Team at the Table” community outreach initiative, city leadership will be on hand to answer resident questions. This Saturday, Department of Public Works Director Adam Wason will be available to greet the public and discuss city infrastructure matters from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
