BEDFORD — Local parents looking for a summer activity for their younger children can now register for the upcoming “Mini 4-H Day Camp.” Hosted by Purdue Extension–Lawrence County, the superhero-themed camp will take place on Wednesday, June 17, and Thursday, June 18, 2026.

The two-day camp is designed specifically for children who are currently finishing kindergarten through second grade ($K-2$). It will run daily from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. inside the Expo Hall at the Lawrence County 4-H Fairgrounds, located southwest of Bedford at 11265 US Highway 50 West
The registration fee is $45 per participant. Because this is a daytime-only camp, parents are responsible for morning drop-off at 8:00 a.m. and afternoon pick-up at 3:00 p.m. on both days.
To ensure parents receive full value for the registration cost, the Extension Office has structured the fee to include:
- Full breakfast and lunch on both days.
- Daily morning and afternoon snacks.
- All educational materials, workshop supplies, and take-home craft items.
Organizers note that children do not have to be lifelong members to attend, but they must be registered as Lawrence County Mini 4-H members before they can sign up for the summer camp portal.
If your child is not yet enrolled in the local program, families can easily complete the initial membership registration online through the state network.
- Dates: Wednesday, June 17 & Thursday, June 18, 2026
- Daily Times: 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Non-overnight)
