BEDFORD — The City of Bedford Board of Zoning Appeals will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the City Concourse, located at 1402 H Street.
For community members unable to attend the meeting in person, the city will provide live-streaming options via its official Facebook page and YouTube channel
The primary focus of the meeting will be a public hearing regarding a zoning variance request that could bring a commercial business into a local neighborhood.
Applicants Brian Higgins and Christopher Quintana have entered into a signed purchase agreement for the property located at 1210 R Street. The pair is formally requesting a Variance of Use Special Exception Permit to operate a used car sales business on the lot.
Because the property is currently situated within a Residential (R-2) zoned district, a special variance is required to legally operate a commercial vehicle lot at the location. The initial request was approved by the Bedford Planning Commission on May 12, 2026, clearing the path for the matter to be brought before the Board of Zoning for a final public hearing and discussion.
